Subject: Coverage of the Inaugural Event of “Socchar-WatchDog Bangladesh”

Dear Sir/Madam,

In accordance with the United Nations (UN), Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), and international human rights laws promoting the fundamental freedoms of individuals or groups, the U.S.-based human rights organization ” Socchar-WatchDog Bangladesh ” is set to officially commence its journey on Saturday, February 24th at 9:00 PM Bangladesh Time. While our scope of work is extensive, our initial focus will be to stand by the victims of campus torture, advocate for the cessation of torture, and aim to create a safe campus environment for students.

The event will be graced by notable personalities such as Professor of the Law Department at Dhaka University and columnist Dr. Asif Nazrul, international human rights lawyer, Director of Justice Abroad (UK) Barrister Michael Polak, prominent human rights activist Mr. Nur Khan Liton, along with some victims or family member of campus torture including Abrar Faiyaz (the younger brother of Abrar Fahad), and other human rights activists. The event will be held online via Zoom and will also be live-streamed on the Facebook page of “Socchar WatchDog Bangladesh”.
